So "Early Voting" has been talked about a shitload ahead of the election. Is there actually any evidence that this was a useful predictor for turnout in general and candidate-specific turnout? Many 'observers' including in this thread have treated those numbers as running tallies but I'd like to see if there's any truth in that because I'm skeptical.

Ryan Faulk's analysis was f**king spot on and he used early voting. This was his analysis:

Posted Image

The three states he was wrong on were Wisconsin, Michigan, and New Hampshire, and those states didn't release any early voting numbers to the public that he could compare to 2012's numbers. Most notably, he was able to guess the outcome of Nevada as being a Democrat hold rather than flipping to the GOP despite all the polls saying Trump was leading there. Basically, every time Faulk was wrong it was because the polls were so s**t this cycle.

The long and short of it is that you can use early voting on a state by state basis, because different states have different patterns. Generally speaking all states skew Democrat in early voting, but some more than others. North Carolina skews hard Democrat in early voting yet makes up for it on election day. Florida skews Democrat very slightly in early voting but not by much.

Keep in mind that even the afternoon of the election, most sites still had Clinton winning Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina, and many had Arizona as a "tossup". Huffington Post put Trump at a 1.2% chance of winning. These people get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to be this wrong, too.

Interesting. Comparing it to previous elections and focusing on local patterns does appear to give it some legit substance.

From Josh Kraus Kraushaar on Ann Coulter's site.  So not only did los Cubanos vote for DJT more than Romney, but so los Mexicanos.

:cuck:
It's as if everything I say never really comes true. Perhaps I should learn from this, no?  Naahhh.

Steyn had some great stuff on election night:

Quote

We are now moving into perilous territory for the Republican Party: If Trump out-performs Romney but still loses narrowly, GOP voters will blame the #NeverTrump pundit class (Bill Kristol, George Will, Rich Lowry, etc) and those party elders such as Lindsay Graham, who voted for McMullin, and the Bushes, who left their ballots blank.

And, as I've been saying for months now, it's easier for the base to get itself a new elite than for the elite to get itself a new base.

Quote

Katy Perry was there! And Amy Schumer! And Lady Gaga!

And all their presence - and Jay-Z's and Bruce Springsteen's and all the others with Hillary last night in Philly - all their glittering stellar presence does is emphasize Hillary's remoteness from where and how non-stellar Americans live.
As I've said all along, the Dems would have done better with Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. You need a candidate who connects with people, not with Katy Perry.

guest appearance by the ridiculous Mike Murphy:

Quote

11pm Eastern: Mike Murphy, the presiding genius of the Jeb! campaign, hasn't lost his magic touch:

Quote

My big prediction: I think she'll win FL quickly; will be clear in early numbers. Then cable news will do a huge 180 on "long night”.

…If nothing else, he has done the republic a useful service by demonstrating you can wing an entire presidential campaign and still do better than Mitt and the entire consultant-industrial complex.

Quote

The "shy Trump voter", whose existence was denied by the pollsters, proved to be real. For those people, this was "America's last chance", and, in defiance of the polls and the media, they took it. As for the idiosyncratic campaign of their candidate:

Quote

Maybe Rove is right [about message discipline]. But as a practical matter it's led to the stilted robotic artificiality of the eternally on-message candidate - which is one of the things that normal people hate about politics. And Trump's messages are so clear that he doesn't have to "stay on" them. People get them instantly: On Thursday he did a little bit of audience participation. "Who's going to pay for the wall?" And everyone yelled back, "Mexico!" He may appear to be totally undisciplined, yet everyone's got the message.

Tonight the Democrats and the media and the #NeverTrumpers in his own party got the message, too: Donald Trump is President-Elect.

I will never get tired of reliving that night

A defeated Clinton has two paths:

1)  accept defeat, come to terms with her errors and defects, and try to make peace with God and America in some way (an exorcist helps).  She can live out her life quietly (assuming she's not in jail), being a grandmother, abandoned by all her erstwhile "friends" (co-consipirators), but serene.

2)  be haunted by The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy™, always replaying how the dastardly media and DONALD TRUMP betrayed her just coronation as First Queen President.  Turn on the TV only to be reminded how they took it all away from me!

Tell me, which is a more just desert for Clinton?  Everything is lining up for #2.

Welp, you were right, but even the clairvoyant Jack of All Hates couldn't foresee the RUSSIA CONSPIRACY.

Nobody bothered predicting Dems' post-election actions IIRC: everybody was too focused on WINNING. The RUSSIA CONSPIRACY is a great tool for keeping cucks and neocons visible while preventing normalization between two foremost nuclear powers. Looks like the table is turning to turn on the Ashkenazim cru though. I want indictments, imprisonments, and asset forfeiture.
