Trump bringing back livable wages.

Was listening to Saturday morning boomer investment AM radio on way to gym today, boomer stock fetishist kept bringing up the danger of rising wages. He used the phrase "threat of rising wages" half a dozen times. And I get how inflation is a legitimate fear but still, f**k off and die buddy.

It's hard to really attribute the swamp to any one president but FDR is the one who really expanded the executive branch beyond the power of the presidents to control.

I know, but there was only so much hint I could throw with a 139 IQ to the 138 IQ crowd to look past this.

Trump inherited the swamp and should he take control he could be a FDR. He should be. Regulating Twitter, Facebook or Google for the greater good would be an FDR move. I can see people cheering for it here.

The Left is right: we are living in the 1930s. They are traitors and Trump is FDR. No one would have dared to insult any supporter of FDR as he was winning as today's Left dares to insult ARE President with a shocking audacity.

Trump should and deserve to walk the path FDR has trodden. It has been done. It united a nation and made it great. That's the minimum. Steal FDR from the Left's Pantheon, drag his corpse out and use it as totem if necessary. If it was done once before, it can be done today.

At least the second post is now at +1.

Quote

At one point it must have been clear this guy is guaranteed to win. At one point your best bet was to shut up or join his fight. History is told from his perspective even today. FDR came as close to GEOTUS as possible: overcoming term limits, ruling till the day he died with an internal and international carte blanche to do as he pleases, leaving a victorious empire behind.

Is this wrong? No it's not. Trump deserves this and he's capable and ready to be like this.

The people who did this for the wheelcair-ridden cousin-f**ker swamp master were the Greatest Generation who said "black fella" casually and firebombed gooks. Just, you know, reminding you the human element in the story.

Have you no decency, sir?

I mean, yeah, rising wages mean that a blue collar worker in boomer super-investor's town might actually be able to afford a house in a part of town where you don't need to sleep with a gun under your pillow and have to sweep the ground for used needles before letting the kids out to play, but have you considered that the inflation that maybe, might, sorta be brought on by increasing wages could lead to having to settle for cloth seats instead of leather on the 50-foot RV, not to mention having to be seen pulling a Jeep and not a Mercedes SUV behind it? Can you imagine the embarrassment of having that parked in front of your second house?

The threat of rising wages is a serious one.

"The threat of rising wages" That is laugh out loud funny . What , exactly is this dire threat ? That workers will start to take back some of the losses they have suffered over the last decades at the hands of the FIRE economy and (((global capitalism))) ? That they might enjoy some portion of enormous gains that have been wrought at their hands by the sweat of their brows ?

That the lack of regard shown to working Americans over the last 50 years is repaid in measure to these leeches is my prayer . That the Reconquista of the American landscape that is beginning is adornred with the heads of a financier in every Town Square . That every dollar extracted through sharp practices from labor is repaid in blood . That the new "Never Forget , Never Forgive" is on the lips of every Christian schoolboy as they learn about the 110th through 174th country that expelled the rootless cosmopolitan and hung their fellow travellers and collaborators (after a fair and speedy trial , of course) .

The bubble economy fueled by loose monetary policy makes his house worth more, but higher wages just make goods and services cost more.  Plus "everybody knows" that higher wages don't just happen; man, it's gotta be something the government does, and companies just pass that extra cost on to consumers.  Don't you see?  Labor should cost nothing but instead of needing to get paid, we'd all live off what we own going up in value.

You are given a job by the luck of a spin of the dreidel goy. Don't get so uppity, just be glad you have *a* job instead of being an unemployable lesserthan. The instant wages go up even an cent, that means that they all get shipped overseas and automated because it's simply not worth paying you to do it anymore.

Here's a grand idea. Let us have all the land, all the industry, all the financing, all the media, all the everything, and in exchange, you'll get an allowa.. Universal Basic Income. All you have to do is clean your room, wash your penis and never say black fella, afterall, you're all black fellas now anyways. What's that? You want *more*? Well, if you maintain the falling apart infrastructure perhaps you will be allowed to live in one of the guarded compounds conveniently located within walking distance of a holocaust community center, and granted a """six figure""" salary. Of course, you'll be subjected to full monitoring, we wouldn't want you to get into trouble.

Winning: American Small Businesses Hiring Workers Hits 12-Year High

Quote

A record number of American small businesses have hired new workers in the month of July, a new survey finds.

The latest National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) survey of more than 1,700 small businesses across the United States reveals that workers are being hired at a record rate by small businesses, hitting a 12-year high.

“Small business owners added the largest number of workers per firm since 2006 in July, adding a net 0.37 workers per firm on average, almost double June’s rate,” the NFIB report states. “Seventeen percent (up 2 points) [of small businesses] reported increasing employment an average of 4.7 workers per firm and 11 percent (down 1 point) reported reducing employment an average of 2.0 workers per firm (seasonally adjusted).”

Quote

Additionally, a record high of 23 percent of business owners said they planned on creating new jobs in the next few months.

“A seasonally-adjusted net 23 percent [of small businesses] plan to create new jobs, up 3 points from June and at record high levels,” the NFIB report states. “Not seasonally adjusted, 24 percent plan to increase total employment at their firm, and 4 percent plan reductions.”

A total of 1,984 refugees were admitted into the United States in the month of July, bringing the number arriving in the country for the first ten months of FY 2018 to 18,214.

Quote

Should that rate of refugee arrivals continue for the final two months of the fiscal year, the total number of refugees admitted to the United States for FY 2018 will be less than 23,000, the lowest annual admission level in the more than three decades since the enabling legislation, the Refugee Act of 1980, was passed by Congress and signed into law by former President Jimmy Carter.

WINNING :trump:

Bonus is that the refugee organisations are steadedly losing their funding (already profiled here after a NY times expose).
